Summer Course

The Kodály Society of Ireland, in association with the School of Arts, Education and Movement, DCU, offers a unique training opportunity in music.

Activities

Our summer course is designed to build skills that develop participants’ musicality and support teaching and learning in classrooms and choirs. Small classes are graded so participants of any level benefit in an appropriate and encouraging environment.
  • Graded solfège (musicianship) classes
  • Conducting
  • Teaching methods
  • Chamber music
  • Choral singing
  • Related special topics e.g. technology in music education
  • Performances: Lunchtime recitals; Participants' Closing Concert
  • Social events
