The Kodály Philosophy
Kodály’s educational vision is founded on his philosophical observations, namely that music has a moral significance and a nourishing function, that life and education are incomplete and unfulfilled without music, and that high-quality music should be accessible to everyone. Kodály’s aim was to create a nation whose life was full of music, and to raise not only skilled professional musicians, but also, more importantly, an audience who would have a lifelong appreciation of musical art. |
